Inspection Results:

• The upper spindle journal diameters shows some wear. We recommend plating and grinding this area.
• The seal area on the shaft with a taper is worn. We recommend dust grinding this area.
• The bearing housing inner diameter meets design specifications and shows no appreciable wear. No modification is required.
• The taper runout is acceptable. Our proposal provides no repair to the spindle taper.
• The bearings show some wear on the inner and outer diameters.
• The bearing nut has a crack. We recommend making a new nut.
• The gears are starting to show some wear. We will leave them as is.
• The unit will be assembled and tested.
